Tres chuladas de Flickr
Se que son antiguas pero más o menos relacionadas. La primera a través de marumushi. Suelo utilizar su newsmap [flash] para hacer una lectura rápida de lo que pasa en el mundo. En su página de inicio puedes encontrar flickrgraph que dado el nombre de un usuario de flickr, te muestra sus contactos y así sucesivamente.Esta herramienta ha sido comentada extensivamente en la blogosfera, por ejemplo aquí en lacoctelera. Muy chulo y muy bonito.
La siguiente se expuso en nodos en la red. Es Visual Dictionary. Escribes una palabra y te muestra imágenes de esa palabra, basándose en el sistema de tags de flickr. Su creador tiene otros muchos proyectos interesantes sobre flickr. Yo vivo (vivía) aquí.
La última la encontré a través de nastystart, se llama Retrievr:
Pintas algo en su ventana de dibujo (donde yo he pintado la cara) y te busca imágenes similares a la que has pintado, tanto en formas como colores. A mí me ha gustado mucho por su elegancia.

I'm not that good in spanish, but I imagine that the purpose of your article was more or less about flickr and its image retrieving facilities. Actually, your pic about this image retriever is a kind of "déjà vu" for me. Well, Let me explain: few years ago, during my stay in Joensuu, I was trying to get some informations about the state hermitage museum before leaving to Russia. I found a funny tool called QBIC, less sofisticated than the one you showed, but interesting still. it allows you to retrieve pictures of the musuem according to patterns or colors. You should check it out.
